My 2009 Horoscope and Personal Blahs

Saturday, January 3, 2009

Last week, before ending the year, I talked with a friend of mine whose view is quite different. He's the type of gay who wouldn't engage in rallies againts discrimination. His statements are somewhat discouraging me to stop what I am doing because I dont have a future in it since this country is not ready to face the reality that we do exist. Although he's accepting the fact that we are JUST TOLERATED and he is contented with that kind of idea and wouldn't care more if we will be accepted or not. The hell he cares if he is not properly treated as long as he is not stepping on other people's lives and is doing all the best to be respected. Well, my only reply was I am happy fighting for equality. I may be able to find my place in this society but how about those who can't since they are being discriminated againts. This is not just for myself but for all the LGBT people out there who can't get out of their closets or those who are maltreated because of their gender identity.

At first I was wondering if I will listen to him or not because he's making sense. It made me think if I can live a normal gay life, not having the burdens that I am carrying now. Thinking of stands on statements just like what the pope said that saving humanity from homosexuality is as important as saving the rainforest. Whoah! Isn't he suppose to unite the world and not cause havoc by giving irresponsible speaches? I am not into issues like Cha-Cha but if it will have an impact to the gay community, you'll see march on the streets shouting at the top of my throat. Going back, I decided to remain the way I am. An activist. Even if my mother is asking me for a grandchild but I have no intention of giving her one because of a three word statement:

I

am

gay...

Live with it mom! Hehehe. I would like to thank her because my outfit were her tights and body fit long sleeves, the malong was mine. I can still remember her reaction when I wore my costume in the Pride March. She can't look at me straight in the eyes. At that very moment, I still felt that she has not yet totally accepted me for what I am. Although it seems like she's comfortable calling me Juday, or Judy Anne, her other term for JUDING.

++++++++++++++++

Right now, I just went home from a meeting about my organization GABAY. It was an exhausting discussion of several plans and targets for the year 2009 but I believe it's all worth it since my core members are willing to help in order to achieve our goals for this year. What added to my excitement is the idea that there are new people who went earlier who are interested in joining us as an affiliate organization in our team. We welcomed them wholeheartedly as they promised to participate in our events that are beneficial to this country's young LGBTs.

I opened my computer, was about to log in to http://www.friendster.com/ and before going to that site, I was able to read my horoscope for the Year 2009 (courtesy of http://shine.yahoo.com/page/2009-horoscope):

Career:

The Aquarian energy of 2009 encourages you to weave new dreams into peoples' lives, and to help them feel at home in the world. Success grows as exemplify your visions, attracting people who appreciate your compassion to raise their consciousness to a new level. In your service to help others realize deeper realities, you become more aware and sensitive to your own connection to the powers that be.

Your profound ability to explore transformation and share wisdom with large communities helps you find a welcome place in society. The love you discover through your own transformation will bring abundant manifestations for others. As you help people heal their consciousness, they can more easily find sanctuary from harsh realities. Your sensitivity to their needs reaches into the deepest realms of a their psyche.

For those who wish also to support change in the world, emotional affinity comes easily between you and your peers. From time-to-time this year, step back and reflect on the deeper purpose of your life's work. Be sure to make decisions that match your own objectives, values and goals, and don't allow yourself to be swayed by others desires. Maintain your individuality. Getting in touch with your dreams will help you know which direction is best to take in your effort to expand your beliefs and be of service in a much larger way.

At the first glimpse of my horoscope for this year, I was surprised to see these words. I was motivated to excel more on what I am doing right now which is my advocacy on gay rights and helping younger LGBT people reach their full potential despite being discriminated in this society. Do I have to believe this? My answer is simple, it is man who creates his own destiny, and since this prediction is quite challenging, I will make sure it will happen...

May this be a good head start for 2009 and hopefully, me and my team can change the society in our own little ways for the future generation of the beckies alike.

Did I make sense?

Whatever... hahahaha.

Againts the World

It's been so long since I posted in my blog but I suppose it's not too late for me to show how I feel about the Manila Pride March 2008. Ane before ending the year 2008, I need to express my points whether many people will get mad at me.

It was colorful and joyful event. I was wearing my national costume and my organization won the "Best Float Award". At the back of our float was a statement: "WE EXALT YOU JESUS", confirming our love for GOD and that we believe and have faith in him despite our imperfections.

With us are discriminators using the bible as their weapon.

Try watching the video:

Preacher: Cause we believe that God has a design. God made up Adam and Eve. He did. He solved it.... So he created a woman. He didnt create another man.... So it's God's design. Now again Im emphasizing, A Homosexual, we believe it's sin.
Yffar: Literal meanings of the bible??? Not thinking of the "sitz im leben". yes, it was God's design to create Adam and Eve in the begining. They were straight, but not all of their children. Isn't King David, the greatest king in Bible History Bisexual???

Yffar: Who set the limitation of freewill? It is man himself. You. have you done your study or taken any basic Psychology on homosexuality? To say that all gays wants to be women? Well im gay and i wanted to stay as a man and not to be a girl. Isa pa, we are not rebels, if we are againts God, why are we doing good deeds to our fellow men...

Yffar: Unfortunately, you were not able to get people from us who wanted to change. Because that is what Gay Pride is all about! We are free to be what we want to be.

Foreigner (as i heard it) : We have beautiful women in Philippines, why do men marry men. Do not support this evil act. Is a taboo. Is abomination (?). Is it bawa (?) Do not support this evil act. A man should live with a father and a mother, married to a woman, not to a???? Man! Because if you do that, you are destroying the generation. because life will not come in to existence. I dont see the reason why we have beautiful ladies in Philippines, and our men are marrying each other. And we are celebrating this ceremony..
Yffar: yes, we are happy that we have beautiful women in our country. but it does not equate to man marrying men?! it is called LOVE! The freedom to choose who we want to live with for the rest of ourlives. and please do not use the word "WE", you're not a filipino and say that it behalf of the majority of this country's population.

Some Posters:
"God Hates Sin"
"It's not ok to be gay, it's sin"
"Turn or Burn"

Yffar: God also taught you guys that who ever does not have any sin, he can casts the first stone. Oh God, you are not following Jesus' instructions!
Other Hate Vids:

To all:
BELATED MERRY XMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR and be PROUD of WHAT YOU ARE WITH OUT STEPPING ON OTHER PEOPLE'S IDENTITY AND RESPECT EACH INDIVIDUAL AS TO HOW MUCH YOU WANTED OTHERS TO RESPECT YOU.

Why cant we digest the idea that being homosexual is normal and let us live a normal life. If we are truly accepted, we wont be lobbying for any anti-discrimination bill, march every december, nor me posting this kind of message in this website!

Many homosexuals died and were murdered because the gay killers claim that it is written in the bible to punish homosexuals for it is abomination. Did God teach us to kill our fellow men just because it is written in the so-called sacred scripture!

GAY PRIDE is not one of the 7 Deadly Sin and is not even the opposite of the christian value humility. It is a celebration of Diversity of what God made us and despite of unacceptance, we are still going to fight for what we think is right in this conservative and blind confirmist society...

STOP THE HATE!

I am Yffar, I am Gay. Live with it!

I love you all...

Ang bata…

Nagmamakaawa…

Nanghihingi ng tulong…

Walang nakakarinig…

Lagi siyang nasa aking panaginip.

"hmmm… Can we meet on Wednesday?", tanong ko kay James.

"SM Megamall, para meet tayo half way.

"Hmmm. Sa friend ko, birthday celebration. He invited me, nakakahiya namang tumanggi.

"Ah, wala yan. Wag mo na lang pansinin. I’m on the right age na rin naman di ba."

"Ok. Whatever.

"No. it’s ok, I just arrived din naman eh.

"So you’re bisexual talaga. And then muntik nang may mangyari sa atin last sunday"

To be Respected,Accepted and Loved

Saturday, November 1, 2008

Hi, Im DeL , one of the co-author's of this blog (co-author's nga ba yffar? hehehe).  hindi naman ako always na mag susulat dito eh, kapag tinamaan lang ako ng gana at kapag may naisip lang hehehe :)

Im here to talk you guys what i am all about, what my opinions in life, how i treat myself, how i look up to life and how i hold my ground. Im a Transgender, i was born gay actually..bata palang beki na lol! :) My transition started nung nag College nako sa Benilde kasi alam ko may freedom ako dun. kaya aun as my hair started to grow longer unti-unti narin akong nagiiba ng sinusuot ko :) from, mukhang super becky to mukhang girl, salamat kay Ms. Althea Pillar (Althea Pills). without it hindi ako magmumukhang girl hehehe *wink*.

Gaining/Earning Respect. . .

In life as a trans like me you may always want to consider how people would treat you in the way you want it should be, may it be your friends or not. First thing, i always consider what i wear outside in public. for me, i always wear casual jeans and simple tops and blouses. i tend to blend in with the girls and not to stand out and caught other peoples attention. hindi kasi ako papansin at ayokong magmukhang katawa-tawa. i dont dress like im some whore or what. Kasi kung matino ang pananamit mo matino din ang tingin ng tao sayo. coz im one person who wants to give a good reputation and a good name for the LGBT community. If you really wanna be respected as a person. Then dont do something na ikasisira ng pangalan mo,kasi hindi lang ikaw pati ung ibang LGBT nadadamay. of course people would think that we are all the same(which in fact not). kaya nagiging mababa ang tingin ng tao sa mga LGBT and at the same time nagkakaroon ng discrimination kahit alam mo naman sa sarili mo na matino ka at may pinagaralan. As part of the LGBT community, showing respect for yourself and gaining respect from others is one very important thing that you should always look up to. And with that you wont have a hard time being accepted.

Being Liberated. . .

Basic meaning is to be free... free from the old belief's, old notions etc... setting yourself to new ideas accepting something new. Being comfortable with your sexuality, being comfortable with any conversation. or just simply being an open-minded person. Now when it's comes to being liberated, i tend to be a little more careful with my self, Coz i can be a liberated person in a way i wont lose my Dignity.

To love and Be Loved. . .

Masarap magmahal, masarap din yung minamahal ka...well for me i dont find that easy. alam ko naman walang magseseryoso sakin dito sa pinas. although naka 12BF's nako 11 bisexual na ex at isang ex na straight which adds up to 12.. :) i dont lose hope kasi and i always have faith :) even though my friends keep telling me na walang magseseryoso sakin dito. still that doesnt stop me from believing, hehehehe . Coz im not closing my doors. kasi madalas ako hindi ako sineseryoso at parating taken for granted ako. huhuhu. :) until here nalang ung sasabihin ko kasi pag ako nagkwento magiging controversial ito. at im sure may aapila hehehe to keep it safe. till here nalang hehehe :)

P.S
Raffy thanks for letting me write at your Blogspot :)
thanks again :)

Points and Disappointments on All Saints Day

North Cemetery at Hallows Eve 2008
-Dhel
Raffy, Calves and I (DeL). Decided to go for a Ghost hunting at the North Cemetery since it's halloween and my second time to visit. We'll it's not actually ghosts that we encounter, mostly nature spirits wondering among tress and clinging onto peoples shoulders. To cut the story short and get to the main point of my purpose of writing here at raffy's blog (thanks nga pala hehehe).

If your one of the regular visitors of North Cemetery (NC) especially on Oct.31. it's really normal to see hundreds of people coming in and out of the place, some stayed for an over night for those people & families that came from provinces just to pay a visit and respect for their deceased loved ones. Now im wondering why of all the places in Manila, bakit asa NC nagkakalat ng kahihiyan ang mga effemistang becking ito???. After kasi naming mag Spirit hunting, we decided to roam around the NC, then something caught our attention, right in the middle of the roundabout ang daming tao watching, ayun! ang mga Becky nagtitipon-tipon at nag kokontest ng Ms.Gay Lotto, at sa loob pa mismo ng NC. Masaya kung masaya kasi nakakatuwa naman talaga dba? but wait...mukhang hindi na ata ito tama ganitong asa premises pa sila ng NC. at take note! right in the middle of the situation ayun nagsilabasan ang mga police at hinuli ang mga Beking kontesera at dinala sila sa mini station ng mga police located just outside the NC, nakakaawa silang tingnan kasi they seem like they dont know what to do or say. kasi they brought it to themselves narin eh.
It's wrong kasi to do that especially sa NC (North Cemetery) pa. Although it's not wrong to have fun but it should be in the right place and in the right occasion. And that is one of the reason's kung bakit tayong mga matitinong LGBT ay na didiscriminate at nadadamay dahil narin sa kagagawan ng iba. Isang example nadin ung mga Fancy clothes they wear at the NC, some wear costumes na halatang Ms.gay lotto lang talaga ang puntirya hehehe :) at ung iba naman kabastos-bastos pang tinginan like a whore thing would wear, kasi hindi nga bagay sa kanila ung outfit hindi pa bagay sa occasion they'r just making a fool out of themselves i guess they dont know what kahihiyan means and how it feels not to mention all those Fookie shorts they wear.

ALL SAINTS DAY!! ALL GAYS DAY?!
-Calvez

LAst night i ask my two friends to go to cemetery to hunt for ghost. its really my first time to go to cemetery the night before ALL SAINTS DAY. It's not that crowded but still, there are people going in and out of the place. I was then disappointed that we might not see & feel spirits there. A nd what really make my jaw drop is to see GAYS in their girlie outfits, other in costumes of angel, fairies & in drAG QUEEN image. GAys in all ages were present that night. it is morelike looking to a parade of them.

pagkatapos ng aming pakay sa sementeryo. nag pahinga kami sa isang lugar kung saan madaming ding tao at nag kakatuwaan. ay POTA "ANG MGA BAKLA MAY EKSENA", they were having a mini-beatypageant inside the cemetery & people gathered around to see and make their selves happy for a while of visiting & praying for their dead love ones.

AT HINDI ARAW NG MGA BAKLA?- WHY DO THEY HAVE TO WEAR COSTUMES FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE? OR ARE THEY REALLY THERE TO VISIT OR JUST TO DISPLAY THEIR GAYISH & DIS HONORING ACTS.
ang akin lang, RESPETO PO SA MGA PATAY. im not againt gays but i suggest to act propperly on a propper place & time.

how I wish yung DAMI ng BAKLA na nakita ko sa sementeryo ehh makita ko sa PRIDE MARCH dis DECEMBER at dun nila ipakita na ndi NAKAKAHIYANG maging BAKLA.

MAKE IT A POINT na ndi lang PAG RAMPA ang alam nila kundi PAGTANGOL ANG BAWAT KARAPATAN NG MGA KATULAD NILA!

NATIN!

IM JUST DISAPPOINTED OF WHAT I'VE SEEN LAST NIGHT. HINDI "MALATE" ANG SEMENTERYO.

IT IS NOT "ALL GAYS DAY" BUT IT IS "ALL SAINTS DAY"

RESPETO LANG PO
