To be Respected,Accepted and Loved

Saturday, November 1, 2008

Hi, Im DeL , one of the co-author's of this blog (co-author's nga ba yffar? hehehe).  hindi naman ako always na mag susulat dito eh, kapag tinamaan lang ako ng gana at kapag may naisip lang hehehe :)

Im here to talk you guys what i am all about, what my opinions in life, how i treat myself, how i look up to life and how i hold my ground. Im a Transgender, i was born gay actually..bata palang beki na lol! :) My transition started nung nag College nako sa Benilde kasi alam ko may freedom ako dun. kaya aun as my hair started to grow longer unti-unti narin akong nagiiba ng sinusuot ko :) from, mukhang super becky to mukhang girl, salamat kay Ms. Althea Pillar (Althea Pills). without it hindi ako magmumukhang girl hehehe *wink*.  Ngayon at ganito nang transgender ako, may mga rules or Codes akong dapat i-set sa mind ko at eto un:

Gaining/Earning Respect. . .

In life as a trans like me you may always want to consider how people would treat you in the way you want it should be, may it be your friends or not. First thing, i always consider what i wear outside in public. for me, i always wear casual jeans and simple tops and blouses. i tend to blend in with the girls and not to stand out and caught other peoples attention. hindi kasi ako papansin at ayokong magmukhang katawa-tawa. i dont dress like im some whore or what. Kasi kung matino ang pananamit mo matino din ang tingin ng tao sayo. coz im one person who wants to give a good reputation and a good name for the LGBT community. If you really wanna be respected as a person. Then dont do something na ikasisira ng pangalan mo,kasi hindi lang ikaw pati ung ibang LGBT nadadamay. of course people would think that we are all the same(which in fact not). kaya nagiging mababa ang tingin ng tao sa mga LGBT and at the same time nagkakaroon ng discrimination kahit alam mo naman sa sarili mo na matino ka at may pinagaralan. As part of the LGBT community, showing respect for yourself and gaining respect from others is one very important thing that you should always look up to. And with that you wont have a hard time being accepted.

Being Liberated. . .

Basic meaning is to be free... free from the old belief's, old notions etc... setting yourself to new ideas accepting something new. Being comfortable with your sexuality, being comfortable with any conversation. or just simply being an open-minded person. Now when it's comes to being liberated, i tend to be a little more careful with my self, Coz i can be a liberated person in a way i wont lose my Dignity.

To love and Be Loved. . .

Masarap magmahal, masarap din yung minamahal ka...well for me i dont find that easy. alam ko naman walang magseseryoso sakin dito sa pinas. although naka 12BF's nako 11 bisexual na ex at isang ex na straight which adds up to 12.. :) i dont lose hope kasi and i always have faith :) even though my friends keep telling me na walang magseseryoso sakin dito. still that doesnt stop me from believing, hehehehe . Coz im not closing my doors. kasi madalas ako hindi ako sineseryoso at parating taken for granted ako. huhuhu. :) until here nalang ung sasabihin ko kasi pag ako nagkwento magiging controversial ito. at im sure may aapila hehehe to keep it safe. till here nalang hehehe :)

P.S
Raffy thanks for letting me write at your Blogspot :)
thanks again :)

DeL

Well said... This will be a long fight. As long as we have each other in the community we will make it there. Respect should start within us.
